Landslides in Sidama region claimed the lives of tens of people and made hundreds of families homeless. Beza for Generation will use all the proceeds of the Beza tombola to be used to provide support to victims of a landslide. These families have lost their home and some their livelihood and are dependent on donations to survive. Proceeds from the tombola will be used to buy and distribute food and cooking materials. Clothes, sanitary materials and other household items. Medical costs for those who are injured by the landslide would be covered. Solutions would be sought to provide permanent housing for those who were displaced. Finally, Beza will work with the local government to raise awareness about similar dwellings in the area that are vulnerable for such disasters and to resettle them elsewhere.
