Food insecurity remains a critical challenge in Ethiopia, profoundly impacting children. Millions of primary school-aged children reside in food-insecure areas, facing difficulties accessing basic necessities due to conflicts, rising prices, and climate change.

School hunger significantly hinders children's education. It leads to decreased school attendance, high dropout rates, and poor academic performance. Conversely, school feeding programs have proven to increase attendance, improve concentration, enhance academic results, and improve children's nutritional status. Furthermore, they act as a crucial safety net for vulnerable families during crises.

LifeLong is committed to addressing this challenge by conducting a series of campaigns to raise funds for school feeding across many regions in Ethiopia. The first campaign will be implemented in the Sidama Region. The campaign will focus on:

• Generating funds to support the implementation of effective school feeding programs in Sidama Region.
• Implementing the program in an effective and efficient manner.

To deliver school feeding in the Sidama Region, LifeLong will be working with the Sidama Region Education Bureau and other relevant departments. Monitoring and Evaluation of the program will be conducted by the local NGO Beza for Generation.

LifeLong plans to raise resources from individuals, businesses and NGOs and others for the school feeding campaigns. LifeLong will use various ways to generate adequate resources including

1. Setting up a tombola that gives participants a chance to win exciting prizes. The proceeds of the tombola after costs will go directly to the school feeding program.
2. Direct cash donations from individuals, companies and NGOs to the school feeding program. LifeLong will ensure that 100% of the donations will go towards school feeding.
3. Donations in feed supplies are also accepted.

LifeLong will publish reports of the campaign's progress in raising funds and implementation of the school feeding program. At the end of the campaign, LifeLong will conduct an audit of the campaign and post the report on this website.
